In the end of May the main run of the great baltic salmon arrives to River Mörrum. Salmons in large numbers are entering the beautiful streams and you can't get a more perfect place to catch your biggest salmon.
This time of year the normal size of a regular salmon is around 10 kg / 22 pounds. But it's possible to catch even bigger ones. Every year salmons close to or above 20 kg/44 pounds are caught.
We are staying at Hotel Walhalla with full board accommodation and three course dinner. The fishing is on Hotel Walhalla private beat located in Svängsta 9 km from the hotel. The beat is 1.1 km long and from "leftbank". Most of the beat is none wading but you can wade some very easy parts. We have 8 rods that we divide into 4 pairs. Every morning we do a lottery of the beat that's also divided into 4 parts and then we practice a rotation schedule. We start the fishing 05:00 am. Breakfast is served from 07:00 to 09:00 am. Then we break for lunch at 12:00-01:00 pm and let the river rest for a while. Dinner is served at 08:00 pm and gives us a possibility for an evening cast.
You will have 1 or 2 guides all day that will help you to find the hotspots on the beat. We will provide you with flies, leaders and hooks that will be possible to buy from the guides.
